Following the award of PME Líder for the second year running, the language services multinational has now joined the select group of Portuguese SMEs labelled "Excellent" .
In Paço de Arcos on 10 February 2015, euroscript Portugal, a specialist in global multilingual content management, was awarded PME Excelência status for 2014 - the first time the company has received the award. The label is a seal of quality created by the Portuguese Institute for the Support of SMEs and Investment (IAPMEI) and recognizes SMEs with the best economic, financial and management performance.
With their strong countercyclical performance, PME Excelência companies are characterized by financial robustness and profitability well above the national average, confirmed in a range of positive business results: turnover growth, increase in exports, financial autonomy, AAA or AA credit rating. There are 1,845 PME Excelência companies, of which 12% are in the service sector, including euroscript Portugal.
Following the award, management representative Aldina Rodrigues said "2014 was an outstanding year for the company, with the integration of the new euroscript Group Shared Services Centre into our Paço de Arcos offices. This award recognizes the success of our business strategy and the significance of our contribution to the national economy. We are creating wealth for our country, which is a source of pride for all euroscript Portugal's employees".
PME Excelência status is awarded annually by the IAPMEI in partnership with Turismo de Portugal and the major banks operating in the country. The award involves a comprehensive company qualification programme to promote brand reputation, optimize funding conditions and enhance the competitiveness of Portuguese SMEs, which are characterized by higher risk profiles and their role as engines of economic development and employability in Portugal.
