BPCC teams up with the Algarve Film Commission to promote Film Friendly Economy

Building on our initiatives undertaken during 2009 to promote Portugal as a location for producing film and commercial photography the British Portuguese Chamber of Commerce has now teamed up with the Algarve Film Commission to create a Portuguese Production Guide.

Visiting film crews represent a significant revenue potential for the area in which they operate. However the nature of their work often means that they have specific demands at unusual times of the day and night. Identifying local suppliers who can readily and willingly respond to their needs or the sometimes strange demands is the one of the main objectives of the AFC’s Production Guide – a brand new film friendly company directory that aims to list not only the Portuguese production companies or equipment suppliers but also all the other businesses that may be of use to these crews – so if you are a restaurant or hotel prepared to be open 24/7; or a real estate promoter willing to rent out properties as a location for a shoot; or any other service or venue provider who welcomes an opportunity to greet with open arms these unique clients then we encourage you to participate in this directory – for the good of your business and for the benefit of the reputation of the country’s film industry.

Participation in the directory is free of charge for paid up BPCC Algarve members.
